|Route:||hiking, cycling, easy|
|Season:||all seasons, most beautiful in spring|
Plum Lake, the largest lake located in this flooded woods offers just the right environment for a great route to Limanköy direction. Oak and ash trees are part of this fantastic route full of forests.
You can start from the center of İğneada walking along Parish Street (Ataturk Boulevard). Then the asphalt road begins to transform into a winding dirt road with lots of trees sidelong. Advancing on the road, after a while the trail enters the forest with sparse trees on your right (northeast direction). The scenic paths and the natural bridges formed by fallen trees in this part of the river bed, give great opportunity for taking photos. If you respect nature, maybe you can even see horses wandering freely.
In the absence of signs in this section you need to walk in the northeast direction and better use the map on your smartphone and wear boots. You continue for about an hour northeast and before you cross the road junction, after Beğendik-İğneada village, you will reach an as-phalt road. Then you turn east northeast heading to the downhill and continue left to right on the coast road towards Port İğneada Limanköy which is just beneath. Then you can end your day in a quiet beach scroll and spend time making photos of fishing boats. Finally you can sit at the nearby fish restaurant to taste fish of the season or to enjoy the sunset or a blazing fire.
